Monday 23/11/09, I visited the president of this association Mr. Arshad Bokhari Sahib at his home to present him the final version of my coming book, 'Beyond London' to get his feedback on my work.
This was a very useful meeting, we also discussed future things for ORA UK and Europe.

Old Ravians Association UK & Europe launched its inaugural function and Eid Milan party on the 26th of September at a local restaurant in London. A large number of Old Ravians including ladies and other dignitaries participated in this gathering with complete zeal and zest. The function was presided honourably by Mr. Arshad Bokhari, President old Ravians association, UK & Europe.

Mr Shahid Malik, Minister for communities and Ch. Sarvar, a prominent MP from Glasgow were invited as chief guests. On hearing this that Mr Shahid Malik and Ch. Sarwar are attending this function, Dr Khalid Aftab asked the president that he should extend his invitations to both the gentlemen to visit the GCU.

President Mr Arshad Bokhari presented a magnificent inaugural speech and explained the aims and objectives of Old Ravian Union at UK & Europe. He announced that this organization would not only provide a platform to Old Ravians to interact and share their nostalgic memories with each other but will also provide them with an opportunity to the uplift their Alma mateur as well as pay a tribute to it.

Mr Shahid Malik and Ch. Sarwar appreciated the determination, resolution and commitment of Old Ravians towards their Alma Mateur and assured a complete support on their behalf to this organization. Mr Arshad Bokhari presented the Chief guests with the GCU ties and collar pins. Certificates were also distributed among the honorary members and prominent Old Ravians. On the whole, the function was a huge success and Ravians departed with the commitment to have another get together in the coming months.
